Janek's elementary school teacher first noticed Janek had a good eye for taking photos in focus with good lighting. Janek developed his passion for photography as an active member of the Semiahmoo House Society Shutter bugs Club. Working with Eve Herny, his photograph mentor and instructor, Janek continued to learn about photography and developed his technical skills.

Janek was the official photographer for his friend's wedding, friend's birthday, the Semiahmoo House Society Annual Golf Tournament and BC's finset Wine Fundraiser.  Janek has taken headshots for UNITI and he has expanded his skills to portrait photography. Several of Janek's photos were featured in the Peace Arch News including a lifestyle story.

Janek loves taking picture of flowers, antique cars, and friends. Janek has a natural gift for seeing angles, colours and shades. Janek is using his photos to design photo cards for sale.
